The death of barrister Mark Saunders, shot by police officers after he had fired a shotgun from the window of his flat, is being investigated by the IPCC, and will then be the subject of an inquest, so it would not be right to speculate about exactly what happened.Just one thing though: here's a photograph of armed officers during the incident: Can any of our police readers explain why it was necessary for some of these officers to wear the sort of balaclavas that used to be… [read post]
